You Can Save The Tadpoles

The struggle to corral prostate cancer continues to stymie research and diagnostic testing . It is still as elusive as ever, a shape-shifter and thief who slips into lives and often leaves destruction and heartache in its path. It robs men of their self-worth, and often their dignity, in addition to the medical complications. For their partners and spouses, it takes loved ones and turns lives inside out.

General Cancer Facts

As we enter our third year of existence, there have been some growing pains in the midst of an economic downturn. At tadpoles, we are trying to work collaboratively to bring together both knowledge and action to stave off the onslaught of cancers. Starting this month we will be offering links to one of our joint efforts – Ryan Smith, a exercise physiologist and certified personal trainer, will be blogging about his training techniques and food regiment as he prepares for a series of marathons. Click Here to link directly to Ryan's website for additional information. He is also joining the tadpoles team as our social media person, posting items to Facebook and twitter. Follow his journey and learn how you can build a stronger physical defense to add to your arsenal against cancer and cancer-related illnesses.

Please check our blog when you visit the website, as our current (and future) collaborative efforts will be posted there. Many of the items are time sensitive so events will be rotated there rather than on the static pages. We are hoping to expand our joint efforts throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky and its surrounding neighbours.

Please join us when you can and help spread the word about the necessity of testing and follow-ups with support groups and doctors visits, where knowledge is power (sorry, old adage but still true). The more information you have, the more confident you will be choosing a cancer treatment - as opposed to letting "experts" decide your future without you.

Thank you for your support
